Welcome to the Laughably Inane Blog!

How do you kill someone who can't be killed?

The 'Epics' came to being. Though endowed with superpowers, they were anything but heroes.

David Charleston lost his father at the hands of the mightiest of them all, Steelheart, as a boy. Watching and studying the Epics for the last ten years, he's figured out each has a weakness. He just needs the help of the Reckoners to enact his revenge.

When Glints Collide - An Anthology by Fluky Fiction

When Glints Collide takes a group of unknown to lesser-known writers (myself included) and combines their talents into an eclectic anthology of Sci-Fi, Horror, Paranormal and mysteries.

I enjoyed many, but not all of the stories. I found myself pulled into several, and awkwardly watching from the outside on others. Not every story will please everyone, but I'm confident some stories will grab your attention.

Book Review: Heart of the Hydra by A. Mangina

Heart of the Hydra by A. Mangina will take you along with Nick and Harper on their quest to find true love, even though they both feel like aliens among humans.

Harper isn't your typical girl, and Nick is nowhere close to your typical boy. At least, that's how they feel about themselves. However, through their inner dialogue, it's safe to say they are just as normal as anyone else on this planet with desires and fears that have too much control over their choices.

Book Review: Death Becomes Her by Michael Anderle

Death Becomes Her by Michael Anderle has good writing, but I just didn't feel invested in the plot or characters enough to read past the first 10%. Maybe you'll like it better!

The UnknownWorld is about to suffer change. For a thousand years, it has felt stifled by Michael's strictures, the rules they must follow on pain of death. As the first and most powerful vampire in existence, he has the power to keep the power struggles under the radar from the rest of humanity. Unfortunately that is changing.

Book Review: The Fray Theory: Resonance

I first came across The Fray Theory: Resonance by Nelou Keramati while browsing the giveaways under science fiction. The beautifully illustrated cover art caught my eye, and I became more impressed learning the author drew it herself.  The cover art style lends to a cross between 1960’s espionage and a modern anime love triangle. The author offered an ARC in return for an honest review. Being an author looking for reviews myself, I thought I’d pay it forward and take her up on the offer.
